Solid. these guys know their stuff, and they're not there to give you bs. quick turnaround, to the point, everything a good auto place should be.
Such an amazing experience here which I don't think has ever been said about a auto shop (no offenses meant). The customer service was so wonderful. Jason and Gracie took care of me mainly and they were so helpful. Dropping my car off to get worked on was so easy. Dropped it, handed over the keys, they handled my warranty claim and every other detail too. Not only were they fast and efficient but my ac has never worked better. Thanks guys!
I would like write a review about my experience with AAMCO in Escondido. I was reluctant about taking my vehicle in for a repair, because of many past experiences with other shops. they left me will a feeling like I was robbed. but I needed to have my vehicle scanned on a computer to see the problem, I was told aamco doesnt charge for that service. so I did. as luck would have, they couldnt find the problem... but to my surprise, they kept at it, and they could have easily just replaced a part that they thought was the problem. but they didnt. they kept trying to determine it at the cost of their time, but saved me alot of money. well they fixed it and I cannot express my gratitude enough to them for what they have done. jason, and gracie are wonderful, they have built trust with me. they have a grateful customer for life. and I will always recommend them to friends and family. you guy's are wonderful thanks again...
It's not often that a mechanic will actually SAVE you money, but this is exactly what the folks at AAMCO did. A few months ago, my wife's vehicle started having trouble shifting into gear and making strange noises. I immediately knew that it was transmission related. I called around and was told by 3 different mechanics that her car (a Kia Sol) likely needed a new transmission, and quoted me prices of between $3500 to $4500 for a complete transmission rebuild before even before seeing the vehicle. Convinced that I needed a new transmission and completely, disheartened, I called AAMCO in a last ditch effort to see if I could get a better price on a rebuild. Rather than quoting me a lower price for a new transmission, John was the ONLY person who told me to "bring it in and lets check it out". I was reluctant to bring it in, as the other 3 shops I called told me that based on what I was describing, I needed a new transmission. Turns out that I didn't need a new transmission. For some reason, you can't check the transmission fluid on these new cars (stupid I know), and my wife's transmission fluid was filthy. A complete transmission flush and a few parts ,and I was out of there for 1/4 of what the other shops quoted. Based on this positive experience, I took my much older dodge truck (4x4) to John at AAMCO. Unfortunately it DID need a new transmission, but the price was still better than the competitors. Hopefully, I won't need to see John or his crew anytime soon, but I highly recommend John and his team at AAMCO Escondido
Our vehicle was having electrical problem we had seen advertisement on TV. that AAMCO does more than transmissions. We were graciously greeted by John who let us know there would be no charge for diagnostic plus if they found problem they would call us to quote price to fix it, and it would be up to us if we wanted to proceed. No brainer right! Thank you John and your team for your professionalism and kindness. Definitely would recommend them.
Highly recommended! Thank you, John and team. You've saved me from anxiety caused by previous auto-shop saying that I had a failed transmission (>$9K, imagine that!). I've been driving my used Ford Focus without a fuss and very happy that it runs better than I first got it. I would say John had a great team of car tech experts--they know what they do and care about their customers. I would definitely go back there in the future. PS. it only cost me few hundred bucks for TCM leak.
After being unimpressed with a close-to-home Meineke location, I called Aamco for a recent clutch problem. Aamco took care of me quickly and honestly. Shortly thereafter I needed rear brakes and so I went back. Again, honest and quick. Now, today I brought the car back for what I thought was a starter or alternator problem. Turns out it was the battery, which was odd because I just bough that battery from Meineke less than 2 year ago. It was under warranty so I did some back and forth with Meineke and they were being difficult. So Aamco said "don't worry about this...we'll set you up with a battery and call it done". WOW. I've just been so happy with Aamco since I've been coming here for our 2003 Honda Element. I never like paying for auto repairs but if i have to, I'll happily give my business to Aamco.👌🏻
